Almond Butter Dip for Fresh Fruit

This started off as a happy accident. I was trying to come up with a nutty pudding base, and changed course to make this quick dip instead. Yes, almonds are a very healthy food. They are full of vitamin E, magnesium, manganese, and copper. They are also full of calories. While calories are not the only thing we should be focused on when it comes to choosing our food, we can’t ignore them either.

This almond butter dip has the same health benefits of raw almond butter with 1/2 the calories. I added a touch of maple syrup as I started working on the pudding recipe and liked it in the dip as well. However, for a less sweet version, feel free to omit it.

1/2 cup raw almond butter
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tsp. maple syrup

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Serve with fresh apples, pear slices or whatever else you like to dip into almond butter!
